Welcome! I’m Teresa and I’m thrilled you’re here!

I’m a far from perfect mom of 2 who loves baking, gardening, and the sound of kids laughing (which usually turns to fighting).

Good enough is the new perfect in my world. Care to join me?

I don’t want to can my tomatoes, wear my hair in braids, or stroll through the garden in my house dress (okay, I’d secretly love to be the person wearing dresses in the garden, but I’m more of a cut off sweats kind of girl).

I do, however, want to bake bread, grow vegetables, pick fruit, and grow beautiful flowers to cut (although I still cringe when I cut them).

Happiness at Home

Gardening is my jam. Vegetables, fruit, cut flowers, and meandering flower beds and borders are my playground. And my girls’ actual playground!

Happiness, to me, is homemade bread. And cookies. And pizza. Okay, I love anything where the main ingredient is flour. I’ve yet to meet a loaf of homemade bread I don’t like! I dare you to disagree!

I absolutely love the idea of making all our food from scratch, but sometimes I just can’t do all the things. And I’m okay with that! Healthy-ish and from scratch-ish is what I’m all about!

Baking Bread and Growing Stuff

My goal for this tiny spot on the internet is to demystify gardening and baking to help you jump right in!

If you bake a bad loaf of bread, that’s okay! It’s still pretty dang tasty! You just get to make another one:) You’re family won’t complain – – I promise!

If your plant dies, so what?! Buy another one! They’re like $3. Just try again!

You don’t have to perfect. You don’t have to get it right. Try it, learn something, and try again. That’s what I do!

If you’re anything like me and you want to bake some bread, or grow some food, or maybe even grow some cutting flowers, I can totally help. Let’s do it together!

Now if you’re looking for help on raising chickens, I can’t help you. I’m still a rookie. But sweet lord, these little nuggets are cute!

Welcome to Three Girls in the Garden! I hope you’ll stay a bit, get comfy, and join me in the garden and in the kitchen. It’s easier than you think! And if not, just try again:)
